A Common Thread…one of many; more to come!
October 20, 2010
There are common threads that connect us as human beings and as women…they are subtle, often unspoken…but we know they are there. If we find the courage to ask, ask and listen, ask, listen and expose our own soft spots, we find that we are made of similar stuff. Our fears, our hopes, our dreams…are kin that connect us like maiden names and dna.
I believe with all my heart and soul that those common threads are the foundation for courage. When we know we are not alone, when we find a heart we can trust, a soul that recognizes our own, we are more likely to stand up, to speak up and to show up.
thank you for the inspiration my darling Kate.

Thank you Momma. That was exactly how I felt when I saw this…like a thread was tugging from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet…if you know what I mean; the milk that has been poured into me, that will pour from me…etc
Love you much

be it a daughter, a sister, a friend, a husband…
these people who make us feel safe, who elevate us when they are around, who bring us joy and not fear, these are the ones that are worth fighting for, and these are the ones who fight for us.
thanks for fighting along with those of us who love and cherish the tenderhearted, the soft, the broken, the afraid, the confident and the proud.
you are a gift to all of those who walk across your path.
if only i can impart this type of love on my own one day. they will be so lucky.
xx
